Take action and apply to the Council’s Waste Action Grants programme
Do you care passionately about your local environment? Do you want to take action to help improve it and make a real difference?
If you answered yes to these questions, then you can apply to the Council’s Waste Action Grants programme.
As part of the Waste Aware Edinburgh campaign, anyone with a desire to help the environment can now do so by applying for a grant of up to £2,500 for an action on waste project.
There are a wide variety of projects that would be considered suitable, such as:
- a community scrapstore or furniture reuse initiative
- recycled art events
- home composting training days
- mobile phone and/or aluminium can collections.
Residents, community groups and supervised youth groups can apply. Applicants will be encouraged to make use of the Council’s wide range of recycling services and to participate in new initiatives.
