Edinburgh International Science Festival has a hundred ways to keep you and the family entertained
Thinking of becoming a space tourist? Or perhaps you’d like to send the kids up a giant nose for half an hour!
In that case, the Edinburgh International Science Festival is the only place you need to be over the Easter holiday.
Running from Wednesday 5 to Sunday 16 April the Festival has a hundred ways to keep you and the family entertained.
And we’re not talking high brow science and geeks ... but 12 days of fun, awe inspiring and spectacular events.
Kids Events incorporate shows, workshops and exhibitions including Up Yer Hooter, Vets ER and Dr. Bunhead, all suitable for families with children aged three to 12 years. The Assembly Rooms hosts Wonderama as the flagship family venue and other events take place at locations throughout the city.
The teenage and adults programme of activity is certainly designed for those with an inquisitive streak.
Some extraordinary minds are lined up in the Big Ideas talks and discussion programme to help you discover the secret life of sperm whales, why a ball actually bounces and why 70 per cent of Americans believe in angels!
Experiment with the Science Festival to give the whole family an unforgettable day out. You may just learn something along the way!
