2006 marks the 60th Edinburgh International Festival. A rich programme of classical music, theatre, opera and dance will be presented in six major theatres and concert halls and a number of smaller venues.

Ticket Discounts
There are various ticket discounts that you can take advantage of:
Youth Tickets: £6 youth tickets for selected performances on the day of performance only. Available to all young people aged 26 and under. Proof of age is required.
Lloyds TSB Scotland Concerts: book all three concerts on one night and pay £25.50 (a saving of £1.50 per ticket). Tickets must be booked at the same time to qualify for discount.
Turn up and try it tickets: 50 seats only held for sale at £10 from an hour before the start of every Festival event* Tickets issued only at the venue on a first come, first served basis, limited to two per customer.
*These tickets are not available for the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert or events at The Hub
Competition
Balanchine’s Don Quixote is a spectacular evening of big scale ballet, never before seen in the UK, and is on at the Edinburgh International Festival 2006 for four nights only.
One of the greatest ballerinas of the 20th Century, Suzanne Farrell brings her company to the Festival to bring back to life a ballet created for her by dance genius George Balanchine. It tells the tale of Spanish nobleman, Don Quixote who, wrapped up in his own world of chivalry, bravely tries to right wrongs and fight the good fight with his companion Sancho Panza.
