Keep in touch with office and service moves
Over the past few months, some of the Council’s city centre offices have closed and the services provided in them moved to other locations.
We recommend, before you visit a city centre Council office, that you telephone the service to check their address.
Use the telephone numbers in the A to Z of Council Services (delivered to your home last summer or listed on the Council website) to phone them.

- Payments of Council bills and rent, parking fines, Council Tax and Housing Benefit enquiries, residents’ parking permits, enquiries and applications: moved from 23-27 Waterloo Place to 249 High Street on 5 March.
- Homelessness Services and the Central Area Housing Team including asylum seeker issues, repairs, house allocations, rent arrears, issues with neighbours and stair cleaning enquiries: moved from 23-25 Waterloo Place to 1 Cockburn Street on 5 February.
- Licensing: moved from 343 High Street to 249 High Street on 5 March.
