Gear up for May's BUPA Great Edinburgh Run
This year, the BUPA Great Edinburgh Run takes place on Sunday 6 May and, with an expected 10,000 runners taking to the streets of Scotland’s capital city, it is certainly a day not to be missed. The 10km course starts and finishes on the Meadows and takes in some spectacular sites including Edinburgh Castle, the Mound (running past the National Gallery), down the Royal Mile, past Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament Building.
The route then sweeps up Holyrood Park, beside Arthur’s Seat, past the Royal Commonwealth Pool, then along the Grassmarket for a last view of the iconic and historic Castle before the finishing straight back into the Meadows.
