What to put in your boxes and bins

KERBSIDE RECYCLING


BLUE BOX
Only the following CLEAN materials:

GLASS
• Glass bottles and jars

CANS
• Aluminium cans
• Steel cans
• EMPTY aerosols
• CLEAN tinfoil

TEXTILES
Please use the Salvation Army bag and put out for collection in your BLUE BOX.
• Clothing
• Towels
• Sheets
• Shoes (in pairs)

PAPER
Please continue to use your blue bag and put out for collection in your blue box.
• Newspapers
• Magazines
• Office paper
• Unwanted mail
• All telephone directories (including Yellow Pages)


RED BOX
Please put only the following cleaned and FLATTENED materials in your red box

CARDBOARD
• Card
• Cardboard drinks cartons (remove lids)
• Cereal boxes
• Cardboard

PACKAGING RECYLING POINTS (GREEN LIDS)

• Cardboard and envelopes
• Plastic bottles
• Food and drinks cans
• Empty aerosol cans
• Cardboard drinks cartons


PAPER RECYCLING POINTS (BLUE LIDS)

• Newspapers
• Magazines
• Phone books
• Yellow pages
• Office paper
• Unwanted mail
• Other types of white paper


DO'S AND DONT'S

• Please deposit items loose, NOT in plastic bags.
• Please remove lids and wash out your bottles, cans and cartons.
• Please flatten your cardboard and plastic bottles.
• Please do NOT recycle GLASS at these points.
• Please do NOT leave plastic bags or litter at the recycling points.
