How the restructuring of the Neighbourhood Partnerships will improve local services
We are changing the way some services are delivered to you so that they become:
- more local
- more joined up
- more flexible to local needs
- more accountable
We’ll be working closely with communities, listening to your priorities and doing our best to respond with a ‘can do’ attitude.
As a first step we’ve put the people who manage many important local services together in your area.
There are 12 Neighbourhood Partnerships across the city and six local teams responsible for delivering services. Staff in Council department, Services for Communities, will work together with partner organisations to improve local services.
What services will be managed locally in my neighbourhood?
Many of the services that you come into contact with on a day-to-day basis will be managed locally in your neighbourhood.
Here are just some examples...
What happens next? As Neighbourhood Partnerships have only just been set up, there will be a ‘learn by doing’ approach and the role of the Partnerships will develop over time.
Regular progress reviews will help inform the development of the Partnerships, both locally and citywide.
How can I get involved? If you want to find out more about your local Neighbourhood Partnership and find out how you can have your say, get in touch with your local neighbourhood team (contact details above).
