Grab your walking shoes to help raise funds for Maggie’s Life Walk (1 Sept)

The second Maggie’s Life Walk, Edinburgh, takes place on Saturday 1 September.

Last year’s inaugural walk saw more than 200 people set off from Holyrood Park to walk a scenic ten miles around the city. This takes in some of its best known and well loved sights, including the Royal Mile, the Meadows, the Observatory and, of course, the very first Maggie’s Centre!

Ian Rankin led hundreds of walkers on the day, with their efforts raising more than £20,000 to help Maggie’s Centres help those affected by cancer.

Maggie’s is now inviting walkers of all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes – schools, companies, community groups, grandparents and babies in buggies – to take part in the second Life Walk. Maggie’s is delighted to be supported by Beanscene this year, who will be providing some much needed refreshments en route.

The walk is about celebrating life, getting fit, and being together with old friends as well as making new ones. It is also about celebrating the best sights and sounds of your city!
