The biggest single effort by to stop men’s violence against women
A football match at Castlebrae High School saw local teams displaying their talents while raising awareness among men to help end violence against women.
The White Ribbon Campaign is about moving away from the idea of violence against women being an issue for women alone.
It is much more than this. For men who choose to wear a white ribbon, it is a personal pledge never to commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women.
The world renowned campaign is considered to be the biggest single effort by men to stop men’s violence against women.
Now, the Edinburgh Violence Against Women Partnership (VAWP) is bringing it to Scotland.
VAWP seeks to tackle the issue of violence against women across the city. This includes domestic violence and abuse, sexual abuse and associated inequalities.
