Boroughmuir clinched victory after fighting off stiff competition from runners up Craigmount High School and last year’s UK champions, Portobello High School, who came third.
The Young Consumers competition is open to pupils aged 14-18 and is now in its 22nd year.
Teams entering are tested on a range of consumer-related topics – such as money and credit, food and drink, keeping safe, keeping healthy and the environment, as well as legal and consumer matters.
The aim of the competition is to make young people more aware of their responsibilities and rights as consumers and provide them with the essential life skills they need to prepare for the world of work and study.
Good luck to Boroughmuir High, who now qualify to compete in the Scottish final in March.
