Saughton Sports Complex, Davidson’s Mains Park, Bingham Park, East Pilton Park and Fernieside all to enjoy a refit
The Council has invested in two new projects as part of our commitment to improve sports pitches in Edinburgh.
Work is under under way to replace the synthetic pitch at Saughton Sports Complex. The £500,000 refurbishment will see a ‘third generation’ surface installed on the 11-a-side pitch, while a new seven-a-side pitch is also being created.
The project started on 1 March and should take six to eight weeks to complete, dependent on weather conditions.
The refurbishment of the pavilion in Davidson’s Mains Park has also been completed.
The £150,000 project involved a full internal refit that includes new shower areas, toilets, team changing areas and a refelted roof.
New pavilions are being built at Bingham Park, East Pilton Park and Fernieside.
