Did you know you can get free advice and training on starting your own business or making your existing business grow?
Business Gateway offers advice on everything from business plans, websites, marketing, budgeting, managing staff, taxes, payroll, health and safety issues, IT, importing and exporting, buying or selling a business, grants, regulations, registrations and more.
Free or subsidised training courses are also available at a range of local venues.
In Edinburgh and the Lothians, the Gateway helps about 2,200 new and 660 existing businesses a year.
Business Gateway was previously run by Scottish Enterprise, but is now managed by Lothian local authorities with the City of Edinburgh Council as the lead authority.
Further business growth services are still also provided by Scottish Enterprise.
