You gave the new A-Z the thumbs up

Thank you to 1,000 people who completed our questionnaire on the new look A-Z of Council Services.

And congratulations to the 19 prize draw winners who picked up Scotmid Vouchers, Hogmanay passes, a digital radio, concert tickets and an iPod Nano.

We know you value this guide, but we want to spend more money where it matters – on frontline services. So, this year the format changed to make it easier to use, more environmentally friendly and reduce costs.

And did you like it?

Yes, is the overwhelming answer! More than 96 per cent found it easy to use and 92 per cent of people who used it found what they were looking for. People found all sorts of things including special uplifts, sport and recycling.

Unfortunately, some people did not find what they needed, so if it is a Council service we will do our best to include it next year.

Copies were delivered to every household in July, but are available from libraries or by calling us on 0131 200 2310.
