Get your skates on!

Take to the ice this Christmas at the Great Capital Skate on Tuesday 30 December at Murrayfield Ice Rink.

Participants at this special one-off event can take part in an ice-skating training session led by professional hockey players.

Later that evening, Edinburgh’s own ice hockey team, the Capitals, face off in their bmibaby Elite League match against Basingstoke Bison. This match is being recorded by Sky Sports as part of their weekly Elite Ice Hockey League programme.

The full schedule for the day is:

• skating from 10am–2pm
• Edinburgh Capitals v Basingstoke Bison ice hockey game, 6pm face off.

Tickets are £12 adults and £7 children and include match ticket, skating session and skate hire.
