The 9th Annual Standard Life Achievement Award winners have just been announced and, yet again, excellence and success have been recognised and commended in all aspects of the Council’s Children and Families department.
In Central Edinburgh:
Congratulations go to Panmure – St Ann’s Services for Young People, who were joint winners in the Integrated Service Delivery category. Panmure – St Ann’s is a unique project funded by the Council to support young people who have difficulties in coping in a mainstream school setting.
Cowgate Under 5s Nursery was highly commended for the project Free, Joyful, Sensory Rich, Adventurous Play in the Natural World. Forest School is a fresh new approach where children visit local woodlands to increase levels of interaction, motivation and focus on tasks.
Visiting Teaching Support Services took the Director’s Award for their innovative project, Effectively Supporting Pupils with Down’s syndrome in the Mainstream School.
