Super stars!

The 9th Annual Standard Life Achievement Award winners have just been announced and, yet again, excellence and success have been recognised and commended in all aspects of the Council’s Children and Families department.

In South West Edinburgh:

• Juniper Green Primary School was presented with a Global Citizens award for its school partnership with Isago Primary School in Kimberley, South Africa. Over the last four years, the schools have worked together as equal partners to create a programme which integrates global citizenship into the curriculum for all pupils.
• Highly Commended in the same category was Stenhouse Primary School for its Learning Partnership with Embanweni Primary School in Malawi.
• Hailesland Child and Family Centre was a joint winner in the Integrated Service Delivery category for their Positive Steps project.
• Braidburn School Leavers group was highly commended for their project, Making a Garden for Milestone House.
