Advice Shop on the move
The Advice Shop is on the move to new premises this summer.
The Council has decided to buy out of the lease to rent shop front premises on South Bridge in favour of a move to its own building at 329 High Street.
The move was approved by councillors in February.
The Advice teams will continue to provide a full range of high-quality advice on benefit entitlement, debt management and housing rights.
The new location will allow better access to IT support, better communication links and a more modern and customer-friendly environment.
Modern systems are essential to help the Council provide a high-quality service to cope with the expected increase in those seeking advice.
All existing customers and other agencies that refer customers will be notified of new contact details before the move.
