NORTH

Forth

THE Forth Neighbourhood Partnership covers the residential areas of Muirhouse, Salvesen, Pilton, Granton, Wardie, Trinity and Newhaven.

Much of the area lies adjacent to the Granton and Leith waterfront development area and ensuring the physical, social and economic integration of the existing communities with the waterfront development area is a key challenge for the Partnership.

Leith

The Leith Neighbourhood Partnership covers Leith and Leith Walk.

Leith ward lies on the north east edge of the city, with the Forth ward to the west and Craigentinny/Duddingston ward to the south.

The ward contains Leith Docks and the adjacent inland area up to the bottom of Leith Walk.

Leith Walk ward covers the areas to the east and west of Leith Walk, including Pilrig and parts of Bonnington, Broughton and Canonmills.

It also includes areas surrounding Easter Road and Easter Road stadium to the east.

Inverleith

THE Inverleith Neighbourhood Partnership lies in the north of the city, with the Water of Leith running along its southern boundary. It covers Inverleith ward, which includes the areas of Blackhall, Comely Bank, Craigleith, Drylaw, Inverleith and Stockbridge.

Major landmarks in the ward include The Royal Botanic Garden, Inverleith Park, Western General Hospital and Craigleith Retail Park.

Inverleith has a lower rate of people excluded from the world of work than the rest of Scotland, is above average in terms of housing standards and health, and also has lower crime levels.
