A shot in the park
The Council looks after 144 parks and gardens across our beautiful green city.
Now everyone who enjoys parks can enter our new photography competition and capture their special qualities.
An exhibition of the winning and best photographs will tour the city, showcase our parks and alert people to this most valuable asset.
The competition will be judged by the renowned Scottish landscape and wildlife photographer Colin Baxter.
There are three categories:
- People in parks
- Wildlife in the city
- Local landscapes
Winners, runners-up and junior winners in each category will receive a professionally printed and framed copy of their photograph. They will also see it displayed at prominent locations and prestigious events throughout the city.
How to enter
For guidelines, competition rules and other information, pick up a leaflet in your local library, local neighbourhood office, school or camera club. Or visit www.edinburgh.gov.uk/shotinthepark
