Construction update
West Edinburgh works.
Tram construction work is forging ahead in the west of Edinburgh. Throughout the past few months work has progressed at the Gogar Depot, on the A8 Underpass and work on the Edinburgh Park Bridge is well under way.
Current and planned work in this area includes:
- building of Edinburgh Park Bridge
- diversion of services under the A8 Underpass
- excavation at Gogar Depot Site and Depot Building Foundation
- building of abutments at Gogarburn Bridge
- pre-cast concrete culvert (drain) installation between Gogar Depot and Ingliston Park and Ride.
Key dates for phase 1A
Ongoing until November 2009
Traffic will be diverted from Princes Street until November 2009. The closure is currently between South Charlotte Street and Waverley Bridge.
Throughout 2009
- track laying and building of structures and bridges throughout route
- Gogar Depot construction
