Capital show

To celebrate all things animated, cinematic and creative, Made In Edinburgh is a series of screenings of movies, documentaries and TV dramas showcasing the talent and the picturesque beauty of Scotland’s inspiring capital.

Following on from screenings of Restless Natives, Rebus – Knots and Crosses and Touch The Sound, the programme continues with a documentary to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the forming of the Scottish Parliament, pictured right.

The Holyrood Files will be shown at Filmhouse on 30 June at 6pm. Edinburgh filmmaker Stuart Greig will introduce the documentary and take part in a debate afterwards.

Greig’s documentary chronicles the trials and tribulations of building the Scottish Parliament. The film – six years in the making – was winner of both a BAFTA Scotland and Celtic Film and Television award for Best Documentary.

Further events from Made in Edinburgh include an animation from Ko Lik in July and a Bill Douglas trilogy of My Childhood, My Ain Folk and My Way Home in August.

The partners involved in the Made in Edinburgh project are Edinburgh Film Focus, Filmhouse, the Destination Edinburgh Marketing Alliance – Edinburgh Inspiring Capital and the Edinburgh Producers’ Group.
