Salute to our armed forces
Cities across the UK will honour Britain’s fighting men and women, past and present on 27 June.
Events for Armed Forces Day in Edinburgh get under way at 3pm as the assembled ranks march from the splendour of the Castle Esplanade to West Princes Street Gardens.
The Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens will host performances from the Scots Dragoon Guards Band and the Parachute Regimental Band. And look out for an RAF fly-past over the gardens.
Armed Force Day draws to a conclusion with a beating of the retreat at 7pm.
