What is the best thing about Edinburgh in the summer (+) and what facilities would you like to see in your neighbourhood to get the most out of the summer (–)?

+ Princes Street Gardens is great during the summer.

-I would like to see more picnic tables and more entertainment for the kids.

+ Coming through the city on the bus and seeing the castle and the old town is lovely.

-I would like it to be easier to get tickets for Festival shows.

+ Edinburgh is a special city and there so many lovely aspects – the architecture, proximity to the coast and the Pentlands.

-The gardens on Queen Street shouldn’t be kept private. They should be open to all.

+ Meeting up with friends during the Festival – there’s a buzz about the city then.

– There should be portable toilets in the parks.
