Your neighbourhood, your priorities

The role of the partnership is to identify, prioritise and plan joint service delivery that leads to quality of life improvements.

Effectively working with local people is critical to the development of neighbourhood planning and it is only by listening to them that we can find solutions which will make a lasting difference.

Each area has produced a local community plan based on priorities you have told us in consultation.

FORTH 2008-2011

1. Creating a healthier community.

2. Making our environment cleaner, greener and more attractive.

3. Ensuring we live in well-designed, sustainable places where we can access amenities and services.

4. More employment opportunities for local people.

5. Improving services for children, young people and families.

LEITH 2008-2011

1. Access to affordable housing.

2. A cleaner and more attractive environment.

3. Improving community safety by tackling antisocial behaviour.

4. Facilities and services for children and young people.

5. A healthier community. Tackling drug and alcohol issues and encouraging a healthy lifestyle for residents.

INVERLEITH 2009-2011

1. Maintaining and enhancing our parks and green spaces.

2. Making our environment cleaner and more sustainable.

3. Improving our roads and transport.

4. An environment where children and young people can take part in sports and leisure activities.

5. Maintaining and improving health and wellbeing.
