Libraries can help with social care enquiries

A new service improving access to adult social care advice has been launched.

Six libraries are now carrying the new adult social care local information points across the city – Gilmerton, Muirhouse, Corstorphine, Piershill, Wester Hailes and the Central Library.

The information points contain the 12 main leaflets for adults requiring social care services and how to inquire about them.

Areas covered include home care, direct payments, carers’ guide and equipment for home use.
