More kids to get free meals
New qualification criteria
Changes in criteria mean an additional 2,000 families in Edinburgh could qualify for free school meals.
Last year approximately 8,500 children qualified and it is estimated that an additional 3,000 children could qualify in the coming school session.

Primary pupils qualifying for free school meals will receive a two-course hot lunch, with a cafeteria-style service available for secondary pupils.
The majority of pupils who qualify for free school meals will also qualify for assistance with schoolwear.
