Recycling raises £20k for charity

Do your bit for the environment and help Save the Children appeal

Edinburgh residents have helped to raise £20,000 by using their red and blue kerbside collection boxes for recycling.

The Council’s recycling partner – AbitibiBowater – donates £1 to Save the Children for every tonne of materials collected from Edinburgh residents.

More than 130,000 households in Edinburgh can access the scheme, which picks up a variety of recyclable materials from kerbside boxes around the city.
