Purge on graffiti

A specialist graffiti removal team hit the city centre recently to tackle unsightly vandalism.

Focusing on the Royal Mile and the closes that run off it, the team used a range of techniques to remove and cover up graffiti, including pressure washing, chemical wipes and special paint which is more resistant to further graffiti.

The Council aims to reduce graffiti and work with partners, residents and businesses to address any future graffiti that may appear.
