£100,000 Council deal with Telford College

Agreement will help students

The Council has signed a special partnership deal with Telford College, committing funding of about £100,000 to enable students with additional support needs to fully participate in college life.

Previously, the Council had jointly funded and supported two members of social care day services staff to assist with 300 students.

The new funding will allow all students with support needs to be assisted.

Three members of staff have been employed to enable students to access courses at the college.

The staff will assist them in the cafeteria and throughout college to ensure students get the most from their educational experience.
