City is set to sparkle

New campaign promotes city

For the first time, the city is working closely with its partners to produce a marketing campaign entitled “Edinburgh Sparkles” that will promote the city over the festive period.

Areas within central Scotland, northern England, London and the south of England are being targeted with train station and airport advertising, newspaper features and special promotions to highlight Edinburgh as a perfect festive destination.

The campaign will also include showcasing some of the city’s homegrown creative talent with a series of eye-catching alternative Christmas decorations. 

The installations, created by Edinburgh artists, have been placed throughout the city centre to make it sparkle with contemporary and unusual Christmas decorations.
