Could your tree help save a life?
Buy a caring Christmas tree
Residents are being urged to save a life this Christmas by buying a Caring Christmas Tree.
Caring Christmas Trees, now in its fifth year, is a charity scheme selling top quality Nordman firs sourced from local, sustainable tree farms with all proceeds going to help people in need.
The scheme operates across the UK in support of good causes.
Every Caring Christmas Tree bought in Edinburgh helps to fund a lifeline overnight winter shelter operated by the Bethany Christian Trust. This provides rough sleepers with:
- a hot meal
- a bed for the night
- breakfast
- advice about overcoming their homelessness problems.
To keep operating costs low, the project is staffed by volunteers and trees are available to pre-order online.
You can go online to select your preferred tree size, collection date and location.
