Puppet invasion at Museum of Edinburgh

Hamish and friends bring history alive

The Museum of Edinburgh was visited by Hamish the Highlander and his fellow puppet friends, Eddie the Knight and Reekie the Dragon.

And as Hamish shook hands with visitors Alice and her mum, pictured above, it proved to be a fun event.

The gang starred in free shows inside the historic 16th century building telling exciting adventures from Scottish history.

The Museum of Edinburgh now has an exciting and extensive family activity area.

Children can have fun dressing up in 18th and 19th century costumes and gowns, handling replica objects and sampling a fantastic array of art activities – all for free!

The Museum of Edinburgh, Huntly House, 142 Canongate.
