Are Your Easter eggs green?

Choose treats with less packaging

Confectionery brands, manufacturers and retailers have achieved great reductions in Easter egg packaging over recent years. Some have eliminated more than 50 per cent of materials – helping tackle the 3,000 tonnes of Easter egg packaging produced in the UK each year.

When choosing your Easter eggs, look out for those with as little packaging as possible or ones that use recycled materials in the packaging.

After eating your Easter eggs, you can recycle the cardboard box using your red kerbside collection box, the foil in your blue kerbside collection box or both cardboard and foil at your local packaging bank.
