Tram works update

What's happening in 2010

Throughout 2010, construction work will continue along the length of the tram route. The first results of the on-street works are visible for all to see along Princes Street with the newly laid track. However, from Edinburgh Airport through to Haymarket the majority of off-street works have begun at the west of the city. This is an update on how work is progressing.

Did you know?

More than 48km of utility diversion work has been carried out to accommodate the tram route.

Companies have taken the opportunity to upgrade their infrastructure while undertaking this work, meaning that people across the city benefit from faster broadband, cleaner water and more reliable telephony.
