City ticketing grows to digital heights

Online events website offers year-round listings… and no booking fees

It’s been a busy five years for the city’s arts and cultural community.

Following in-depth research and city-wide consultation, the Council is delighted to announce the forthcoming launch of a year-round online events website for city residents and visitors.

Known as Clicket, this is an events and ticketing website with an exciting difference. Users will be able to purchase tickets for multiple events across multiple venues in one go, without commercial booking fees.

Event listings are clearly laid out and the site offers a range of search options. If you’re bowled over by choice, Clicket will suggest events suitable for you based on your browsing behaviour and help pick events for special occasions such as Mothers’ Day and Christmas.

But that’s not all... the site has specific areas for kids’ events and traditional arts. Add to this an editorial section, filled with news, previews and features, and you have a site you’ll want to bookmark.

The Edinburgh Portal Pilot Project (EPPP) is a collaborative project funded by the Council and the Scottish Arts Council and managed by Edinburgh’s audience development agency, The Audience Business.

The project focuses on encouraging attendance, increasing engagement with new digital technologies and developing professional skills across the participating 35 arts and cultural organisations across the city region.
