Team building with a difference

Staff take on Countryside Ranger role

Twenty-nine staff from the Lothian Pension Fund volunteered to work with the Countryside Ranger Service to clean up the area around Blackford Hill carpark.

The revamp included the removal of an old fence line, removal of invasive species, the building of a new fence, painting a vehicle barrier and carrying out a litter pick of the surrounding area.

The Countryside Ranger Service manages 11 Natural Heritage Parks throughout Edinburgh which include six Local Nature Reserves.

Rangers promote the enjoyment, understanding and care of Scotland’s outdoors.
