DVD foster care appeal launched
News in brief
In a first for Scotland, the Council has produced a short film to recruit more foster carers for the city.
Narrated by Grant Stott, the DVD ‘Becoming a Foster Carer with the City of Edinburgh Council’ aims to answer any questions that prospective carers may have, from ‘how do I become a foster carer?’ to ‘what impact will foster caring have on my children?’
Written by Hilary Phillips who, along with her family, is a foster carer with the Council, she was able to give a valuable insight into how the process of becoming a carer works.
