Taking action at your request

You told us that the exterior of Moredun Library was looking tired, unwelcoming and uninviting.

David Hayden, team leader at Moredun Library, worked with local young people and an artist to create a reading circle sculpture in the grounds of the library.

Rab Farquhar, task force manager, improved the litter collection service around the library and cleaned up the surrounding area.

Alan Dunlop, roads officer, worked with the Neighbourhood team to develop plans for resurfacing and renewing the entrance to the library. This work will be carried out by the end of the financial year.

Mike Shields, parks officer, will work with the team to put in new planting and do grounds maintenance.
